About The Winner:	The Australian Business Awards are delighted to recognise CSR Ethanol Agservices (CSRE) as recipients of the Award for Innovation. The achievement of CSRE in developing BioDunder, an innovative product that simultaneously supports an industry need while managing waste, has opened a multi-million dollar market. CSRE’s value added fertiliser products, developed from the potassium rich BioDunder, have turned the former waste stream of ethanol production into a valuable commodity. By working with local canefarmers and other industry groups, including Incitec Pivot Ltd, CSRE have been able to ensure that their product is readily available to their client base; ordered, delivered and applied with a single phone call. CSRE have sustained a competitive advantage which has seen them grow to a stable 65% market share in the Queensland fertilizer reseller market. As the demand for fuel ethanol increases and supply of BioDunder increases CSRE will be well positioned to meet the market demand. The profits from the sale of fertilizer products are reinvested into further research and development of products and technologies which will keep CSRE at the forefront of innovation. Their strategic alliance with Incitec Pivot has already produced the Liquid One Shot range of products and promises to provide more value-adding opportunities in the future.
